I recently had to repair the wiring to the radiator fan due to something chewing the original wiring to pieces. Anyway, when I made the repairs and cranked up the gator for a test drive, it idled kind of rough and then shut off. Now, it will turn over and over but not crank. Before the wire repair, it would crank up no problem. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks.

I have a wiring diagram for the area of the radiator fan but not the entire diagram. You can go to the John Deere web page and search "parts" - they have some wiring diagrams located there. ....

There is either a red/blk or a blu/blk hot wire coming from the starter thru a fuseable link.that is hot all the time. That wire goes to one side of the fan motor. The other side of the motor goes to the temp sensor, other side of the temp sensor goes to gnd. Sounds like you have another wire in the mix. You could have the side that goes to gnd hooked into something else. Find the hot wire and hook it up as I described and unhook the wire coming out of the sensor that doesn't go to the motor. If it will start and run, just ground that wire to a good chassis gnd. ....
